Women's Single-Breasted Tailored Trench Coat

A single-breasted trench cut to an above-knee length. Three buttons close the front in a clean line and a classic lapel collar sits open at the neck, so it reads as tailoring rather than outerwear and works over a suit as easily as over jeans. Shaped panel seams run through the body, which is what gives the coat its structure without needing a belt to pull it in.
The fabric is a smooth midweight weave with enough body to hold its shape and enough give to wear all day. Button-tab cuffs finish the sleeves in the traditional trench detail, and flap pockets sit at the hip. Built for the months either side of winter — over a sweater on a cold morning, over a shirt when it lifts.
